On Thursday 16 May we kicked off the Dujat Trip to Japan (27 – 31 May) at EY Wavespace in Amsterdam, which was attended by members of the delegation as well as companies involved with the organization of the trip.
It was also our honor to welcome the Ambassador and Madam Minami to this meeting, and Mr. Hein van der Loo, Mayor of Almere who will join our delegation to Japan.
We opened the event with a welcome address by Mr. Tom Wiffrie, EY Netherlands Japan Business Services Leader and Assurance partner and opening remarks by Mr. Hiroyasu Matsubara, Managing Director of Yakult and Vice Chairman of Dujat.
We were then pleased to give the floor to H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Minami, Ambassador of Japan for a speech. We express our gratitude to His Excellency for his kind words and for his support.
Next was an explanation of the programme, first by Mrs. Christa de Kemp, Managing Director of Dujat who shared mostly some more practical details.
We also thank Mr. Hiroyasu Matsubara, Managing Director of Yakult Europe, Mr. Davy van Iersel, Managing Director of Fujitsu Nederland and Mr. Naoto Miyamoto, President of Mitsubishi Nederland for their contribution. It was very nice to already see a preview of our visits to the Yakult Miki Plant, Fujitsu Technology Hall and Seikado Bunko Art Museum.
Last but not least was a speech by Mr. Hein van der Loo, Mayor of Almere. Together with Horizon Flevoland, he is joining this trip to Japan to attend our events and visit various headquarters of Japanese companies located in Almere.
The meeting was concluded with networking drinks and delicious sushi. Thank you EY for kindly hosting this meeting and to all who participated!
